Long-term rentals
Apartment for rent: say what you need, gool.li does the hunting
gool.li is an agent that searches for you, on WhatsApp: you give the neighbourhood and the rent, it reads the ads and comes back with a shortlist and the reasons behind it.
Finding an apartment for rent in Morocco often means numbers that no longer answer, flats that are already taken and deposit requests you have to be wary of. With gool.li, you describe the long-term rental you want — city, neighbourhood, monthly rent, number of bedrooms, furnished or not — in Darija, Arabic, French or English. We read the ads published on the sources we watch, set aside duplicates and stale ads, place every rent against comparable homes and flag whatever should put you on alert.

Three steps, one conversation
- 01
You describe the rental
Neighbourhood, rent per month, size, furnished or not, move-in date: one message or a voice note is enough.
Three questions at most. Never a form.
- 02
We read the ads
Long-term rental ads are gathered, reposts are merged, and every rent is compared with homes in the same area.
Every price placed against listings that are genuinely comparable.
- 03
You get a shortlist
A handful of apartments that match, each explained: why it fits, where the rent sits, and what to ask before you visit.
Risk patterns are flagged and scored — so you see them before you call.
A rent placed against the neighbourhood
A furnished one-bedroom in Gauthier does not rent like an unfurnished flat in Hay Hassani; in Tangier, Malabata and the city centre are different markets. gool.li compares every rent with homes of the same type, in the same neighbourhood or a neighbouring area, of a similar size. You know whether the asking rent is above, in line with or well below what comparable ads are asking. Nightly and weekly lets are a different market: we look for monthly rentals, and we set aside, as far as we can, the ones that are really holiday lets.
A deposit before the viewing: a sign to take seriously
A request for money up front — to «reserve» the flat, to post the keys, because the owner is supposedly abroad — comes up again and again in dubious rental ads. gool.li flags these requests when the ad’s text contains them, along with a rent that is too low for the neighbourhood or photos already seen elsewhere. The rule stays simple: pay nothing before you have visited, met the owner or their agent, and seen a written contract. A flag helps you ask the right questions; it does not replace your own caution.
The questions to ask the owner
For every apartment on your shortlist, gool.li suggests the useful questions. Is the flat free, and from what date? Are the building charges included in the rent? How many months of deposit, and against what receipt? Will there be a written contract and a receipt for every payment? Can we visit before any payment? You can also send the link of an ad you found elsewhere to get the same reading. The answers are yours to judge.
Your number, on your terms
Your number is shared only when you ask to be introduced to an owner or an agency. Your first message is drafted for you, and you are the one who sends it. Your exact budget stays in the conversation: an agency only sees a range. Your search then stays open, and we only come back to you when a new ad deserves it. Write STOP at any time to stop and delete your data.
What gool.li does
- It reads long-term rental ads and merges reposts.
- It places every rent against comparable homes in the neighbourhood.
- It flags deposit requests and unusually low rents.
- It gives you the questions to ask before any viewing.
What gool.li does not do
- It rents out no property and manages no lettings.
- It does not visit the apartment on your behalf.
- It does not tell you to sign or to walk away: the decision stays yours.
- It never asks you for money, neither a deposit nor a fee.
Frequently asked questions
Yes, free for tenants. Agencies and professionals are the ones who pay, when they are introduced to a tenant who accepted.
No. gool.li looks for long-term, monthly rentals. Holiday lets are a different market, which we set aside as far as we can.
It is a common pattern in dubious ads. Pay nothing before you have visited, met the owner and seen a written contract. You can send us the ad for a Second Opinion.
Yes. Give the neighbourhoods and the city. If supply is thin, we tell you and suggest widening, without doing it for you.

A neighbourhood, a rent, a move-in date: that is enough to start.
